You've read through the first three pages and obtained all the necessary documentation... now you're ready to apply! You can either apply online on the Washington State Department of Licensing website or mail a completed Notary Public Commission Application.

You will receive your notary public license faster by applying and paying online.
To submit your application online, you must first log into your SecureAccess Washington (SAW) account. If you do not have one, you will need to create one first.

Paper Submission
If you wish to submit a paper application,
download the "Notary Public Comission Application" and mail it to:

Along with your mailed in application, you must include:
(1) The non-refundable application fee as a check or money order payable to: Department of Licensing
(2) A copy of your signed $10,000 surety bond
Note: If you submit the application by mail, the "Oath of Office" is completed as a part of the application on page 3 of 3.
